"Salmon Falls" Glacial Potholes ~ Shelburne Falls, MA

Located in Shelburne Falls Ma are the beautiful formations of glacial potholes. These potholes were formed by rocks of various sizes settling in the cracks of the riverbed and twirling in the fast current and boring out these natural holes. This site used to be a mecca for sunbathers, swimmers and nature lovers. Over the years there have been numerous accidents and the town was forced to gate the area off from public access. You can, however, still view from a distance these beautiful potholes and rock formations as well as scattered small natural water falls from a viewing deck at the end of Deerfield Ave. For more information on Shelburne Falls and the Glacial Potholes please click on the link below.

The Bridge of Flowers is a beautiful bridge of perrenial flowers in the center of Shelburne Falls. Once a Trolley Bridge, it has since been transformed into a "bridge of beauty". The bridge is accessible to everyone (except pets) and free to enjoy. There is a great website for the bridge with a wealth of information. You can find it by clicking the link below.
